Titolo modulo | Descrizione | Ore | |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Intro to Houdini – Proceduralism | The goal of the module is to introduce Houdini’s node-based paradigm and through VEX language start creating procedural effects. | 24 |
2 | DOP I – Particles | The Dynamic Operator (DOP) is the most important tool of Houdini – With this tool, the artist can create every dynamic asset. Particle effects are the first module inside the Dop Network. | 24 |
3 | Sop Network – Smart Dynamics | Inside the Sop – surface operator – we can model, transform, and map. But we can also create some unique effects like diffusion of data, accumulation, and procedural transformations. Vex again helps us to control a huge amount of data and handle those faster. | 20 |
4 | Volumes – Smoke&Pyro I | Volumes are hugely used in VFX to generate any kind of smoke, fog, clouds, explosions, and fire. Dynamic Operator is the space where volumes take life. | 36 |
5 | Destruction I | Voronoi System to split divide fracture objects – RBD|PYRO Solvers to simulate destructions with a lot of debris, some smoke, and particle dust. | 16 |
Titolo modulo | Descrizione | Ore | |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Flip Simulation | Fluid Solver and Fluid Simulation – Houdini delivers an extensive toolset to recreate water sim and oceans. | 32 |
2 | Grain – Particles II | The Grain module focuses on sand and particle interactions. | 32 |
3 | Vellum | Vellum collects a lot of different solvers for different geometry interactions, like soft bodies (polygons), cloth (polygons), wires (curves), and grains (points or particles). It is a sort of “UberAlles” solver that can be used in a lot of production cases. | 24 |
4 | Destruction II | The second part of the Destruction module. Debris, Solid Object deformation, and Constraint will be presented in this module to add further realism to the shot. | 32 |
